Join Sheena Sharp as she leads tours of the Ontario Association of Architects Headquarters.
The OAA is the regulator of the province’s architecture profession. The building is more than meeting spaces and offices, it is the public and physical embodiment of architects, skills and aspirations for the community. Having completed its Renew + Refresh renovation project, the OAA Headquarters is opening its doors to show the public what has been accomplished as the building pursues zero net carbon performance and climate stability at a critical point.
The site is open 10am-5pm.
Guided tours are available at 11:00am and 1:00pm—will include a look at the components chosen to meet this goal, including an energy-efficient geothermal system, solar panels, improved daylighting, motion sensors and LED fixtures, and tint-changing dynamic windows. Find out more about how audiovisual technology, open office arrangements, and flexible spaces have been incorporated to address present and future needs.
